“Experience time

Guided tours, a holistic experience

Beyond uniformity

The very  dynamics that have democratised travel have also standardised destinations and experiences. The tourism industry has entered the innermost life of human beings, penetrating our dreams, our imagination, even how  we feel pleasure. There is a risk that leisure, the experience of Mallorca, Mallorca itself will become completely standardised. My project resonates with the international trend for tourism to become an economic activity that supports the creativity of local cultures and human experience.

I strongly believe that leisure has a tremendous potential to enhance life. However, a tour around Mallorca or a guided visit to Palma Cathedral can easily be reduced to a list of bland details generating little more than indifference. I’m convinced that how  leisure is experienced is just as important as the activities that actually take place. This is one of the reasons I feel so passionate about my profession.

A tour of Mallorca or a guided visit to Palma Cathedral can also be taken as a holistic experience. This is what I find so exciting. I will take care of creating the conditions for thought, emotion, action and other human capacities to awaken and come together, making it possible to capture new qualities of reality, to revel in the variety of feelings that Mallorca can evoke.

R+D+I in Southern Europe

I’m convinced that for a society such as Mallorca that is based on tourism, an expansion of the concept of research, development and innovation is crucial. Not all added value comes necessarily from science and technology. Practices and knowledge that foreground other ways of communicating and experiencing the island are also necessary. The coming together of humanities, arts and sciences is a good way to imagine and develop alternatives in this direction. This is what I’m proposing.

The time has time to see whether the regions of Southern Europe are ready to make significant contributions to the contemporary world.  Has the European Mediterranean missed out on modernity, its creative force reduced to offering sunshine, landscapes, fiestas and holiday homes?

Living realities, living relationships

Travel can mean many different things for different people. For me travel is one way of coming out of oneself. Perhaps for you, I am part of this difference. If you can understand how I conceive and present Mallorca, then perhaps deep within yourself you will discover previously unknown interests, passions, curiosity. Creating a visit together is one way of nourishing your encounter with the island.

I can show you the island as a guide, but we can also exchange points of view and what makes us curious, I can tell you what I have my doubts about, perhaps you can broaden my horizons with your feelings… I like to present Mallorca as a living reality through a living relationship. For me it’s not just about transmitting ideas. As an old saying goes, it’s not about filling vessels but about lighting a flame.
