Creating tours in Mallorca together
In this blog I’m sharing materials that have shaped my own perception of Mallorca and of everything that is involved in a guided tour. You will find a lot of references to general questions because I believe that this is the best way to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of what is unique to the island. The contents of this blog are not neutral; they entail a taking of sides. For me idea of hospitality includes sharing what one truly believes. Some of these contents are part of my latest book, MallorcaBiel.
In the posts you will find a specific conception of nature together with suggestions for the exploration of the connections between human beings and the natural world. You will also find references an anthropological understanding of culture; this conception stimulates me to go beyond the typical picture postcard clichés. There are other sections where I explain how I see leisure, human beings and experience. In reality, all of these questions make up a kind of tourist guide to Mallorca, a guide where you will not only find suggestions about what to see, but also about how to do so and about the final purpose of doing so in a determined way.
